Stainless Steel / Ceramic Hybrid bearings. Bearing Shields were removed on both front and rear bearings for better air drying of motor interior and avoiding corrosion.
Piston assembly all ready to go. Piston was cleaned with the grain of the tool marks with scotchbrite. The machined rod was given a going over with the stones and fine wet/dry to smooth edges.
After the head was filed and sanded it was painted, then mating surface was flattened on a granite with compound to true the surface to the head button.
