Had to cut out and discard the original motor mount & make up this unit instead - a 3 sided frame to mount the motor in and then slide it forward to just the right spot to clear the cowl. Just needs fixing in place now.
E-Flight Brushless Outrunner and Typhoon ESC waiting for a new motor mount to be made and fitted. (Might have to canabalise this plane's servos for another project whlie waiting).
The nose cone took a beating in the crash. Here it is repaired with lots of filler and following some sanding back with the Dremel. Pictured also is the new E-Flite Power 10 Outrunner and 40 amp ESC that will power it.
